Some of Bretts Pics form DGVII
I got a CD from Brett of all the pics he took,I will throw a few of them up on here, the rest I put on my imagestation , so any of the attendees that owuld like can copy the ones they want from my folder on imagestation.....
The slow Red 12's......lol

Its not what it looks like...ok so maybe it was......lol

Chris, Harry, and Roger checking out the slow green 12......

Did you know these come with a Mercy Light installed from the factory????

The ritual BP stop for gas on our way out in the morning...

Gas stop in Tellico Plains, headed for the Chera"lala"

And you wonder why we go here to ride.....here is one reason....

reason #2.....

Some of the crew...L to R Ninjaman12R, Me(HDL), Crashtech(standing), EODCowboy(sitting), BallisticZX12R, Harry, Otis, Matt Sterbator, and TurboBlew....what a motley crew...

Reason #3....

Reason #4.....

12's at the resort....

Reason #5....

Breaktime on the Gap....Slaying the Dragon takes a lot out of ya, you have to rest sometimes....lol

The Crew again....L to R: Brett Brian Steve MIke Harry Bart Rick Jim Roger and Norm....

Crashtech(Brett), and his GPz 750+ Turbo......I watched him smoke the tire and leave darkies just like the 12's.....fukn awsome....

A morning after shot.....lol

Reason #6.....

This is as big a part of the DG event as anything...friends enjoying each others company, shooting the shit...talking bikes, guns, politics, or just smack talking....

HDL Roger and Brett, on the "Broken Clutch Cable excursion"

They were suppose to be fixing the clutch, not each other....dammit Bart, is nothing sacred to you??? lmfao

Harry Brett and Myself on the Gap. Harry is giving the unofficial "Smackhouse Salute"....

Jon, this is just for you brother, sorry you didnt make this trip, you and Sherm and the other guys that didnt make it were missed....

The end......
For all of you that have never been to a DG event, this is just a small taste of what you are missing out on, the friends that are made here are friends for life, brothers if you will. the riding is fun, the company is great, the scenery is world class, and the roads are the best. Top this off with a lot of beer, adn some serious smack talk, and you have the making of one of the best times a man can have, that is almost leagle.......If you ever get the chance, come to one of the events, I will make everyone I can for as long as I can....
Too all the brothers, I miss you crazy bastidges already......is it September yet????

The trip was worth the price of admission just meeting Brett and seeing that Turbo run with the 12's
It was great meeting Brett, And his Turbo will fly, I kept thinking we was going to lose him but every time I looked back he was still there.
Looks like the crew was trying to add training wheels to Barts ZX10 which was late braked by my heavy 12

Od' To Norm
Norm,
If I need traing wheels, then you must have reverse on your 12. Passing you was never a problem doing so in a safe mannor is a story for anither day. There truly cannot be 6 apex's in just on corner, we'll work on it next trip. Please feel the love because it is all down low.

Well, yup, woulda been nice to be there. Thanks for the salute, HDL. So how'd the 6 run with the 12's a Cherahola?
And, um, you fuckers for the fall DG will need to pick a date that's not a race weekend.
Dates that are OUT:
Weekend of Sept. 25
Oct. 9
And I'll have my Sv-650 by then as well. I'll hand out the "you got punked by an SV" certificates on the Gap.
But not on the Cherahola.

Jon - I'll present you with a "your my bitch" certificate on the Cherahala.
I thought about that corner on 129 (you know the one I'm talking about) the one before the lakeside where you and I went in "a little HOT" and it got exciting for a moment. Glad neither of us went down or that a car wasn't coming in the other lane. Can you say "cut the corner"?

dont you worry about that little 600 Jon, she did just fine.....good thing they installed the Mercy light on it though, cause she was begging for mercy...I just treated her like the little biatch she is, and she took it like a trooper. Ask Mark or Chris what the Micron sounds like at say 15,000 RPM's.....lmfao
If I could get Rick to give me some room in the corners so I could get a clean pass on him, he would know what the Micron sounds like too.....lol
But I got Steve on there, and was trying to figure a way around Brian when we stopped, so he flagged me out in front of him when we took off again.....heheheheheh Man what a ride......if only I had ZIXER with me for the trip......but she will be back in rare for for the next trip....Roger and Brett are seeing to that.....lol

Oh, yeah. Harry, I knew you'd post your own "certificate" after I posted that..."Shit. Now I justt opened the door...."
Yeah, I remember that corner. That really was about the only time my shit got freaked out on the road like that. And don't forget, despite the fact it was a blind decreasing radius, it was off-camber with a dip. Left hander with fresh paint and lots of gravel on the right shoulder. You could say I remember it. I also thought "FUCK, Harry was right behind me!" and looking back and being relieved you were still there. If I only had a pic of yer face in the helmet when I looked back.
Nice to know the little 600 was able to keep up with the hooligans. I'll have to make sure I have my Daytona gearing on the bike.

I was running stock gearing Jon, I wish I had been up 2 on the back, it would give me a bit better acceleration out of the corner. that would have been nice that was where it was the hardest to keep up with the 12's....
You know the 12 is all DOWN LOW....just bang the limiter in 2nd gear, thats all ya need on the 12, provided you are running 50 PSI in your tires.......lmfao

I didn't even know you were that close until you told me after we stopped, lol. No sense in holding up a faster rider and possibly having a pass go wrong when we're just out having fun.

Word....
Amen fellas,....it was fun for me even at a much milder pace. I told a few Gap regulars well in advance that I was going to cool down a few clicks, and I did just that. The $1k BRP Fiasco, coupled with the fact that I got a warning in June from a Blount County Deputy while on my honeymoon dictated this. That and what little common sense I've retained over the years.
Townsend is in Blount County, as is the Tennessee side of the Gap. The deputy told me that I was in the computer as having been issued a warning and would receive no breaks whatsoever if I was pulled over in the future. I didn't feel like testing this, I know how fucked up a big citation can be. It put a very big damper on the end of DG6 for me and I intend on trying to do better from here on out. My license hung in the balance after the September deal, now I'm in much better shape thanks to practicing what I'm attempting to preach. I'm sure there will be times when I throw caution to the wind, but I'm older and wiser and will be a bit more selective as to when and where.
I can still be a hooligan and lay darkies, ride wheelies, and still be considered safe can't I ?!?!?!?

WHY NOT you knothead sumbiatch??? I thought I was pretty safe this past event???? Hell I think as a whole, we all were. This of course all pertains to the riding aspect. The partying, well that is another story entirely.
Truth be known, even if I'd wanted to ride faster I couldn't have. I started my pre-event social drinking and such well in advance of DGVII. By the time the event had started I felt a little dazed and confused as they say. Factoid: More than one afternoon when rain messed us up a few of us were fuckin' toast @ 3:00 in the afternoon, which continued on until the AM. I was exhausted when I made it back home. Damned motown and his fuckin' NASA Certified stash!!! I wouldn't change a fuggin' thing though, a large time was had by all. You fuckers are worthless in every sense of the word, but you're a blast to hang out with.
