Garage Door Opener ??
Well, I have done RedElks ZX7R rearset modification on my 2001 ZX12, the radiator fan switch, a taillight cut-off switch, a yellowbox, all great projects I have found mentioned and/or documented on this board.
Now I am pimping up to add a garage door opener.
Haven't seen any threads on this. Anyone else done one? I was thinking of adding a push button to the upper fairing yoke, and putting the opener up front velcro'ed to the back of the instrument cluster. That way I can just reach up above the ignition key and push the button.
I have heard of others wiring it to the high beams, emergency flasher (actually that's a pretty good idea too), or a microswitch drilled in to the handlebar controls.
Anyone else tried this? My current 'garage door opener' is going off to college this fall, so I need to put a real one in.

I've been wanting to take my little keychain remote and wire it into the bike. Maybe use the flasher button to activate it. Seems pretty simple, just haven't gotten around to it.

I just velcro'd my opener to the inside dash on the left. No probs with it coming off even with 180 mph runs and shit. If you slam down the front end due to a wheelie, if you do it hard enough to jar loose the opener you damn sure aren't doing your bike any favors.
