The 1270 kit is also an excellent way to get "your foot in the door" for less money (and not having to split the cases to do, either). I love the power that mine has!! The bonus is that with the 1270 kit you are already part way to the 1375 kit, and "all" you need to purchase down the road is the stroker crank kit (gaskets, rings, etc) and send Muzzy's your crank (core) and your 1270 pistons (for machining). I am planning to do the 1375 kit in the future and already have a core crank sitting on a shelf in my garage.

I will go another way. First smaller ports. then 1270 kit. then nothing more. From what canadamaxxer has told me that is suficient to outpower by far anyone here on the road.

Marcos,
Is there really such a thing as enough power? Now that I'm getting used to the power of the 1270, I'm looking for more. Once I have the stretching surgery finished, I will have the traction and the wheelbase to handle more horsies.
There is no way that I am going to do the 1375 kit this summer, but I will happily throw a nitrous kit on over a weekend. The 1375 kit will have to wait until I have the bike down for the winter (and have the extra cash to put into the parts).
BTW: I did get your email about Pat....I will email him my story when I get a chance to write it well enough.

For the street, 1270 with a epoxi ported head is suficient. Yesterday I had a bast riding with some budies (xx and vfr800) and I see the big diference in power that the zx12r makes, almost 2 much (muzzys and PCIIIR and other small stuff). i rode the XX and its handling is impresive and power, suficient.
To have a huge engine in the steet is a overkill.
