Gearing...
I just recently fried my clutch so I ordered the Muzzy Clutch from Spencer Cycle and i bought some new sprockets for the 12. Since I like to wheelie the 12..i went down to a 17 tooth in the front and up to a 49 tooth in the back. Afetr riding it 1st gear is useless...second is fooking plain retarded...5000rpm..no clutch crack it and it's inn your face. 3rd clutchs up easy and i can almost on occasion clutch it in 4th...My top speed is gone though, might go down to a 47tooth rear..anyone running a 17/47...???

I had that same gearing on a 204 hp 1347 bike. Just plain brutal. Like you said, sneeze and you're wearing the bike for a hat. I'd say that 17/47 should be pretty good for the street.

I am running a 17 on the front with a 190 rear tire and it works great for the twisties, not to brutal. I do a lot of highway riding too so i think I am going back up to a 18 on the front.....

prolly not......for an 1/8 mile I would prolly stick with what ya have.....for a 1/4 mile ask some of these guys that do it, I am really not a drag racer just a hobbiest...Bergie or Sft, or Madmike would know much more about that than me....hell when i go to the track I was running stock gears on a stock bike and running street air pressure, would prolly explain my only running 6.7 in a 1/8th.....I would much rather run twisties, but Draggin is good fun once in a while....

For the street I use -1 on the front and the top end is enougth to leave behind everyone except another 12. and the acceleration is wiked.
