Sweet.... Use to call that color combo rootbeer/orange. "We" didn't get it until '73 over here (unless Doug cheated and got a '72 from Japan....).
I had a '73, '74, '75, '76. In Superbike trim, when we had to run "stock" appearing exhaust at that time. The open megaphone 4 pipers that Yosh modded were some of the nastiest sounds on the planet at full song. They would replace the headpipes with hand-bent, torch heated with sand packed acting as the mandrel in the tubes. Then cut/gut the entire stock muffler/megs. But they were fragile. The harmonics of those four big, thin, muffler/megaphones would crack all the time. It was like the cracking had a mind of it's own. No consistency (other than you knew they would crack somewhere almost every race). Changed to 1000 in '77 (and dual exhaust), and everybody started equally cheating running 4-1 versions with dummy pipe on the left.
