2002 R6 Cuts Out @ 10,000 RPM NEED A FIX!!!
Well i have just acquired my slightley used 2002 R6 has 9000 miles on it akrapovik carbon fiber exhaust and has been jetted. seemed that it had no problems when i got it but now that i am playing a little i cannot get it to pull the front wheel off the ground unless really launching into it in any gear. but when i reach 10,000 RPM in any gear it will cut out like a rev limiter, sometimes i cannot get it any higher than 10,000 then other times i let off the throttle and hit it a few times it will go up above and seem just fine with great pickup . untill i shift and do it again. plugs are new, coils all test good new starting circuit cutoff relay, new sidestand switch. Purchased a book on it and the only thing in it says that it may be running lean. but fuel and air systems are all clean. i can blow through the filter fine so i never replaced it. and i dont want to sync the carbs unless its a last resort.. ANY IDEAS IM STUMPED.
