HHHEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!!

So......................
I'm buying a theft recovery 07' R6 from an insurance company at auction.
But I know those bikes have an imobalizer on them from the factory.
How would or could I get a key.
Ie. I cannot just cut a key because the computer is coded to the ignition. so what can I do.
Im thinking race harness.
but I dont know...........................
any one help pleeeaaaaasseeeeee.

ok, so a friend with an 05' R1 has his "RED" key from when his bike came from the dealer.
Am I going to be able to reprogam the new keys I will get cut, using this "red" key.

i would contact the dealer bike originally bought from

with the vin etc he should be able to help you

worst scenario he might have to refer you to the factory

for once, he's actually right.
most immobilizer-equipped bikes will have a separate "map" in their ECU that'll accept commands from a common key the dealer usually has. i'm sure setting or "teaching" the key and immobilizer is about the same as the kawi stuff is.

they require the bike is put in a dealer mode and programmed that way.

the R6 is far easier to work on as far as acessing the modes, but i honestly have no idea what to tell you as far as setting the immobilizer.
sorry. i'd suggest talking to a dealer or the factory tech guys

you mentioning a race harness.. it'll work. so long as you've also got the ECU to accompany it.

i'm sure theres a way to get around that anti-theft system. theres ALWAYS a way around that stuff it seems.
