One of the reasons I strongly advise friends NOT to teach friends how to ride, is based on my own learning to ride experiences.

I remember Fish_Antelers "teaching" me how to ride in a parking lot and hitting my elbows telling/yelling at me to "LOCK EM UP!!!"

Which is COMPLETELY WRONG. I was right in being relaxed on the bike.

Friends don't teach Friends how to ride.
They let the professionals do it!

Ya but the finished product is you ride the chit out of a bike so he couldn't have been all THAT bad :P

I took a course and read books and watch videos and did some track days - need more.
