What are the best grips?
Guys, I am getting older and need better grips for my zx14 to eliminate some of the pain. Since you guys do a lot of time on bikes I wondered if anybody had any suggestions on a very comfortable grip. I am also considering having the seat re-worked to get a better seating position. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to try some BMW Grips part numbers are..left #32721458395, right 32721458396. I've heard good things about them.

I use the Grip Puppies, as well. It's the smaller of the two sizes you want. Cheap, comfy, and easy: my kind of combo...I also hear good things of the Beemer grips. They are hideously ugly, however, IMO. If such things matter to you...

Thanks for the input guys I will give them a try, grip puppies first and if that does not work on to the Beemer grips. They may be ugly but I figure with BMW parts on the bike I will increase my re-sale value big time!

Ya - maybe...LOL. You'ill love the grip puppies. I ordered a few extra sets at that price. I figured they would only last a few seasons...but they really work well and reduce buzz in the bars somewhat. I also prefer a larger grip, so they fit the bill!

Likewise. I put them on all my bikes, even the dirtbike. They're very universal, hand-filling (Much better, anyway.), and comfortable. You'll like 'em.

Who ya guys ordering these from? I coulda used em on my Bandit1200S, buzz being a major reason I'm dumping IT a month after I bought it for a C-14. But all the writeups I'm catching on the 14 say there IS no buzz..
I'm so...confused!

There's a buzz @4000 RPM, which while is marginal in OD, is more noticeable in the lower gears. It's certainly not like the ZX14, which has no buzz at all anywhere, but it's still not anything major. I've seen much worse on most other bikes I've ridden. I'd suggest you try the C14 before you buy it, just to make sure that the slight buzz isn't annoying to you...and if you were to add a pair of Throttlemeisters, the buzz, for some reason on this bike, gets amplified. I have and have had them on all of my bikes in the past several years, and they've always smoothed out buzzing, whereas on the C, they just make it worse...go figger.
