Front tyre Bridgestone BT021f
Hi,
I am having to change my front tyre, after just 4500 miles on it ( the back is still good about 5-4 mm ). the side of the tyre is wore down to 1.6mm while the centre is still good with 4mm left, the tyre preasure has been right for the lifetime of the tyre so ???????????????
anybody else had this happen to them?????

My BT021 is bald on the left side, almost bald on the right side, and the center is fine. I have 3500 miles on the bike.
Take my advice put a Michelin Pilot Road 2 on the front and when the BS wears out put a PR2 on the back. You won't believe the difference. You will get almost 2x the mileage out of the PR2s and better handling. I am changing mine probably before the weekend.

I too had the bt02's get weird, buy the PR2's they will blow your mind. My confidence in the bike doubled after switching tires and the ride got more comfortable as well as more exciting because I could carve deeper into the corner, carry more speed and keep my line true as never before. The bt02's always felt like they were wandering and about to slide in a corner. You will be amazed at this bike with new rubber.

I changed out the tires today and the thing is a new bike. Unreal.
