Actually, flies out pc3 with slip on is good for 15 rwhp, and 9 to 10 ft./lbs Max power. These are just max numbers, but considering stock 135 rwhp, 15 hp and the added max torque is a signifigant gain. What it does down low is amazing as well..

Uh uh...no effect at all over 6-7/k...and 135 RWHP would be low...you should see over 145 stock (MAX HP) and 151 after tuning and a PC3. The gains from removing the flies are going to be about 7-10 HP and 15-18 LBS RWTQ...at 3500-4000, and not much over that. They have zero effect on top end as the flies open at 7K in all gears anyway. The PC3 has little effect in the same area that the flies out do...it really only serves to richen up the mix and give you a bit more max HP...nothing more than that. If I could get away without using a PC3, I'd dump it in a heartbeat.

Did a quick check... @ 95mph on Speedo- GPS shows 88. @ 150 on Speedo-GPS shows 143.....

Ok, by going with fuel moto dyno runs, the stock c14 they tested puts out 134 rear wheel hp at 9k, now flies out and at the same 9k rpm, the one with the slip on, pc3 and power commander put out just over 150 rwhp at the same 9k. Torque is not the issue as it is 10 ft. lbs more in the 6-7k range (max) then drops off as the cams come on.

Someone tell me that this setup does not increase power above 6k? Either fm is lying or people do not understand engines and fuel management.

The stock 134 is about right, I have seen dyno runs on the net, and the highest I saw was 137, given the claimed 158 crank hp it would be about right given losses in the drivetrain.

There is a difference or someone is lying to me, flies out I do not need a fortune teller, you feel it, immediatly...

I was "ghost" riding behind my old man on a connie 14. I ride a 07 zx14. He got up to 171 when he lifted. Per my speedo. But thats when my "Busa" Beater took over. On terms of a roll on..... At 3000 rpm in 4th gear he pulled about 3 bike lengths ahead of me. I was slowing realing him in when I hit 7200 RPM. and he went from 1-2 bike lengths ahead to about 10-12 lengths back immediatly. That Linear power curve really helps with the low end on these connies.

Imagine if he had his secondaries out, a slip on and a pc3, you might have been 10-12 back, it is possible. That mod, more than anything else, makes a real big difference, maybe not as much as a zx-14 with the same mods, but real noticeable nonetheless.

Yesterday I went for a putt and to escape the storms I headed east there were a couple of straights and I saw an indicated 175ish and I was still accelerating the GPS registered 167. That was with a strong side/headwind. 50+ gusts. Made for an interesting ride.

5th. I tried it another time and shifted into 6th and it was accelerating but a car appeared way out there and I shut it down. Because the only thing I fear about going fast are cops.

Yeah, know the cop thing, hey ted how much more speed is to be gained by a 29 hp+ increase right where you were in 5th?

I saw dyno runs and she shuts down in 5th at a real 173 or so, but that extra hp should take you to od and quicker.

29 more hp would help a lot. I was at about 5000 feet with a major league cross/head wind. At those speeds the changes in the wind and pressure smack you violently. It was kind of fun, just duck down and gas it. I believe I could have gone faster if I had the road. At 5000 feet it takes more time to get up to speed. Oh yeah I have an oversized windscreen.

Ted, I think you hold the land speed record for the c-14! Have you given any serious thought about removing the flies pc3 and full area-p? If not that then at least pc3 and full system? I think it's right up your ally....

I would do all of that in a heartbeat if it weren't for the noise. One of the major reasons I can ride this thing for sometimes a thousand miles a weekend is because it is quiet. If I could get a quiet system I would buy it tomorrow. As for the flies. If I want to rip it I bring the RPMs up past 7k and go from there. If I am droning then I ride at lower RPMs. From what I understand the flies out would not help me over 7k. A pipe would but then we go back to he quiet issue.

OK, yes the flies out would not help you, inless you want to get to 7k quicker. And it will get you there quicker, way quicker........ it is thst droning, you talk about, this is where the flies out rocks, it is the power you are missing down low and midrange where people usually ride. I know you like hard powerbands etc, but let a big bore do it's thing. Add that other cyl, and keep your top end, what would you have to loose? The bike is totally different after the mod, and i do not mean subtile.

I am not tring to make your mind up for you, but in about a week FM should have full runs in on the full system....

Believe me I have gone back and forth on this a zillion times. FBA has been on my case since the beginning. I have an issue with DynoJet PCs I had one on my ZX12 and the thing left me stranded a hundred miles away from home. Then it took 6 weeks to get DynoJet to get back to me and only after I showed up at their door in Vegas and they dug one up to replace mine with. Shit service. OK maybe I had a bad one and it is not the norm. Crap. I wonder what the PCV brings to the table? At this altitude I wonder what kind of gains I could get?

From what I get out of it is that the pcv has the capability for speed input, can be mapped for each gear with gear input, and I think with the autotune is where it may be of benifit you... It does need a base map, but the autotune with o2 feedback might be of help to fine tune for your elevation.

the full system (areap) can come with a bung.

Kerry, do you have anything in a quiet muffler for this, that would give an increase in power without too much noise to help ted out? I know there will be a compromise, but anyting has to be better than stock...
