How fast, on the speedo has anyone seen?

Just curious to see how fast someone has seen, on their speedo, on their c-14.
I hit 85 mph! I am sure to be beat easily... At least at this point..

Given the speedo accuracy, you probably went as fast as I did with the 'busa, 175 on the speedo, but that one was 10% off.. not 4 %. I guess 160+ I will have to live with, and maybe it's a good thing....

Did you guys do it with bags on?? Without bags should be good for another 10 mph?

Thanks guys,
Rob

120 was my top because there were cars in the right lane. Didn't want to chance having someone change lanes on me...

That would be great and I know a good spot. Route 33 North between the Route 22 ramps and the Wal-mart exit. I rip it up there all the time (car and Bike) as a matter of fact south bound isn't bad either...I had my VW Jetta GLI VR-6 up to 135 on that straight. That's also where I found out my G-6 GT is governed . Bastards at GM.

I like 191 just leaving roseto, nice 1 mile stretch with only 1 driveway on the left, that is where AI opened the busa up. Right in the middle of nowhere, and really no where for cops to hide.

Wanna do your bike next weekend JC?

Hope the cops aint reading this, cuz now they know where to find you PA boys!

I've done 120 so far and that was just pure bliss!

Garvin6, how does the connie stack up with your son's busa, considering what they really are respectively?

P.S. I'm leaving the flys in for awhile, but I'll let you know.

In everyday traffic, I blow him away. My son has reluctantly admitted that he has had to downshift and grab a handful to keep up with me from 50-120 when we are slicing through traffic. It is only when there is a mile long straightaway that he is able to pull away from me, even that takes some work up to 130. In everyday real world riding, I give him a run for his money!

165 on the dial, came up as 152 on the gps "max speed". I didn't maintain the 165 indicated for more than a few seconds hence the lower gps reading. Best ever max on the GPS was 155 on my blackbird.

Removing the flies shouldn't affect top speed at all, it only affects lower rpm power. I did top speed runs with and without bags and only noticed about 5 mph difference. 165 with/ 170 without, indicated speed.

150 today on my max speed recording gps. Don’t know what was indicated on the speedo. It was still pulling hard and I had some straight left but the road was rough at that speed and it scared me off the throtle.

Fastest I've seen so far was this past Saturday 160 with bags on. She really didn't feel like she had any more to give. I will be trying this weekend without the bags. You guys getting 165 - 170 are you running stock? Also the guy with the son with the Busa, either your son's Busa is slow or your C14 is extremely quick. Most of the guys I ride with have Busas and when we get on the throttle from a roll on, even after I downshift two to three gears I can't keep up with them. One Busa is a 2000 and the other two are 2008's. Just my experience.
