K-pass info
I was landing a carp, which ended up being roughly 40lbs, I slipped and fell FULLY into the water(still caugh the bastard), when I was all calmed down and had released the fish, I realized my cellphone And key fob were in my pocket....cell phone is drying out now...K-Pass worked fine , fob didn't let me down even having been underwater....And it was NOT factory sealed, I had changed the battery a couple of months ago...I'm impressed. Now if Verizon would get together with Kawasaki, maybe they could put their heads together and make a waterproof cellphone.

LOL ... ted
Regardless of what others say, kipass is still a nice novelty.
Some day i'll ride someone else's bike and without thinking, leave the keys in the ign while walking away.
Edit: what's it take to change my screen name on here?

I really really like it. My vette has the same thing and I wish my truck and SUV had it. I just like leaving the fob in my pocket. Bikes need this even more because you have much more things to keep track of, helmet, gloves, jacket, etc. And the fact that you turn off your bike before all that other stuff is taken off and you are not ready to pocket the key because the jacket is in the way with your clumsy big gloves etc. And when you put your gear back on and you forgot your key was in your pocket then get off the bike remove your gloves and dig for the key. Also a bike is much easier to steal, two three guys and a truck and it is gone. Disabling it for good is a good thing especially when the thieves learn they cannot ever get the bike started again.

Glad to know that the fob was really made right! I think I am going to take the battery out of the spare to save it for an emergency, heck it is just going to go dead by itself anyways...

That's no shit! I got a track bike a few weeks ago and I'm always leaving the key in it. At least I'm not riding it on the street. Another reason to hate K-pass, it spoils you!
