First Trip on Connie
Well, just completed my first 1000 mile trip. Went Laughlin River Run then Vegas for a convention. The bike was flawless except for once when it did not stat because the battery terminal was corroded. Nothing that a little cleaning did not fix and I was back in business. The bike was even well behaved in the ferocious winds through Baker on the 15. Overall, a GREAT trip. I will post pictures of the river run as soon as I sort through them. What is the stipulation of posting risque' pictures here??? LOL
When I was parked at the Excalibur in LV, I saw 2 other Connies parked next to me. Anyone from this site?

We don't worry too much about the pictures as long as you put NWS and they are not too nasty.

Really, has anyone ever ridden a bike that handles the wind and passing 18-wheelers as well as the C-14? I haven't.
I still can't ride behind a SUV too long though. The air coming off those things is just way too dirty.

We have a place between Reno and Carson called Washoe valley. It is a 7 mile straight of 395 running north and south, with mountains to the west. The wind always comes from the west and it accelerates down those mountains and blows trucks and campers off the road. The C14 just rips through that like no other vehicle except for maybe my Vette. You get the 100mph gusts that want to blow you off the bike and the bike is unfettered. Really unreal.
