You are right I was out riding, I did 350 miles Saturday and had a good opportunity to try the headset. The setup is the J&M full face bluetooth setup with a Sony bluetooth stereo transmitter, all fed by an iPhone. First thing is the damn iPhone has a recessed jack and you can't get it to plug in without modifying the plug. So I did and made it work. So now I take the Sony, get it to connect to the headset a all seems good. I clip the Sony unit to my belt and I am off. So for the first 100 miles the thing is cutting in and out and I am thinking it is the modified plug. Fuckin irritating. So I stop to figure out were to go and fiddle around with the plug and it still is cutting out but the thing is solid. Hmmm. Come to find out that the thing was out of range, so I clipped it to my collar and it worked perfectly. Now I have tunes and it was just awesome, the miles just ripped on by except for the miles of gravel, dirt, ice, water, etc. Still I had a great ride. The only problem with the setup is the bass is bit lacking but not too bad. The batteries on everything were fine after all day riding.
Then I did 200 today and it worked better after some proper volume adjustment.
But my tire is toast, zero miles left. Something else, because I couldn't ride fast because the roads sucked most of the way, the thing gets over 50 mpg.

I remember that with Bluetooth, as you soon as you cross your body, it becomes erratic on many headsets. 30 FT, my ass -- LOL.

I've also heard about the issue with the recessed 3.5MM jack on it, as I was looking to possibly replace my Nano with an iPHONE, using a T-Mo Sim card for my US travels, but I nixed that when I found out that my RF remote would no longer work if connected to an iPHONE.

I'm lucky to get 40 MPG...

I seldom get 40 mpg. I qualified the 50 with having to ride slow. If I am tearing it up It has gone down to 30.
The recessed jack has a fix, several companies have adapters already. All in all the setup is not too bad. It will be better when I get the phone working as well as the radar.

I just rode it last weekend and it is so much fun. I have decided that depending on the ride the ZX10 is still my kind of bike. But if it looks like an extended ride or there may be droning, the C14 is the weapon of choice. I just love the wheelies and the rawness of the 10. The good part is I have a choice.

and I was hoping you'd like the C14 so much you'd sell me that ZX10 of yours at a steal!

The only way I will sell the 10 is if the 08 10 is a lot better. And it would have to be a lot easier to wheelie at altitude.
Don't get me wrong, I love the C14 and plan to put some serious miles on it. But if the days ride is 200 miles or under and it is mostly back roads the 10 is getting use. Also the weather needs to be nice. The C14 is better if the weather isn't so nice. But I have been putting 700 miles a weekend on the C14 weather permitting with snow piled up sometimes 10 feet on the sides of the road.
