Stock Seat?
I'm looking for a stock seat so I can send it off to be modified. I'm probably going with the Russell Day Long. If anyone has one they don't want or need please let me know and how much you want for it. Thanks!

Maybe too soon still. 
I do have a Corbin coming to me on Thursday, if I can stand the looks and my ass loves it I'd let my stocker go. It will probably take me at least a couple of weeks to be sure. If I can part with it I'll let you know.

One or two hours on a Corbin and I am done, like sitting on a rock. The older Corbins were much softer, before they switched to concrete foam.

I know you and a lot of people feel that way about them. But I had a new style corbin on my last bike and could go forever on it with no discomfort at all. That's why after reading a little from the few new gel seat owners, I decided to roll the dice on another corbin.
I did something a little different with the covers on it, If I like how it came out I'll post a pic.

One or two hours on a Corbin and I am ready for the rest of the day. The stockers are way to soft, no support, just a sponge imho.

got a corbin for my 12...have the stocker on it now, keep going back and forth, but I think I like the stock one better......

A few C-14 owners have had the stock seat modified by this guy with good results and for a fraction of the cost...

To bad with the Corbin, its about as ugly a design as I have come accross.
They should bite the buillet, toss the existing design and come up with something that doesnt look like it belongs on the back of a horse.

I agree that neither the Corbin or Russell seat look good. "Looks like it belongs on the back of a horse, not a sport touring bike." and "but boy it sure doesn't look sporty to me" are to me, dead on accurate observations. However on long rides the objection from my ass was more powerful than the insult to my eyes. I mean you don't really see the seat while riding, but you do feel it.
So I got this Corbin and had it covered in a way I hoped would help the appearance. I ordered the rear pretty much standard with pleats, black leather, and asphalt black sides. I had the front made with charcoal carbon fiber, no pleats and asphalt black sides. When I opened the box I was sure they got it wrong. The "charcoal" cf was in my view shiny silver and nothing less. I called em and they told me there was not a big difference between their charcoal and silver. They sent me samples of each and indeed mine was what they call charcoal. Not what I or anyone else would, but they do. Anyway before sending it back for a recover in black (which I hope means...black) I worked some black die into it that stayed mostly in the recessed area of the cf texture. It dulled it down a lot and gave it a kind of funky rough look. Now I'm on the fence about sending it back. Now my eyes are offended and confused, but my butt is happy. And again, no I don't carry my own padding. My ass looks like a bag of antlers.

It's definitely tough to use silver or charcoal on this bike. Compared to the car in the background which I think is silver, it makes the CF definitely look silver.
Not a real color fit with the standard C14 color as it has a little aqua or coral tint to it, certainly unique.
From all the threads on seats, most don't favor the Corbin look. If you like the feel, that weighs heavily so stay with it. It's always hard to make the purchase decision before trying.
You may change your mind later, especially when summer comes around so you may want to keep the stock seat to give your Bag of Antlers a little variety. LOL

Well I got my other seat and am now waiting for my Russell Day Long. As mentioned above the day long is not so pretty but on long rides I can live withe it. Around town the stock seat will be on the bike!
