Grips and throttle lock
I had a set of black Pro Grip Gels and went and bought a lever type throttle lock. Well the lock required me to make a special bracket index the thing. The gel grips are a bit bigger and give you some more leverage and so far they seem to be more comfortable. The throttle lock is kind of a POS and I think I need a Throttlemeister. I just want to know if the TM will add to the vibration on the bars.

Ted, I installed a throttlemister on mine and it got rid of the 5k buzz in my bars. It did not eliminate the vibration, but I'd say it helped.

Just did 400 miles today and the throttle lock was handy. But I need a Throttlemeister, I am ordering one tommorow.

Okay, I've heard of Throttlemeister, in fact it seems one can't talk, "Sport-Touring," without the mention of ,"Throttlemeister," popping up. My question is, why is it so good? It looks like nothing more than a twist-type friction throttle lock. What makes it better than all the other brands?

The one that I got clamps around the plastic throttle tube. The reason I got it was because it is narrow and and wouldn't take up grip space. The problem is when you adjust it to hold well in the locked position it doesn't release enough to let the throttle release cleanly. Also the thing is either on or off and you can't adjust it so it puts a small amout of pressure to help relieve your hand. There are better ones out there but they take of grip space.
The Throttlemeister looks clean (like it doesn't have a lock) , From what I have seen they will lock well and release very cleanly. AND they replace the rubber mounted bar ends and that seems to remove some vibes from the grip.

This is the second set of TM'ers I've gotten and I love them for all the reasons mentioned above.... most of all they are extremely easy to use and they are very CLEAN. They have removed vibrations from both of the bikes I have owned. Just ordered my set in black for the C14 today. Alot of the other types of throttle control products just clutter up the bar to much for me.

Installed mine (Polished /heavy) the other day on the C14. The stock weights are pretty heavy as they come -- and the TM's didn't make any perceptible difference on buzz, but now at least me gots throttle lockie!
BTW, Have to say, the ZX14 has less buzz than the C14 at speeds.

That is because it doesn't have ape hangers  out there to amplify the vibes.

They called today and the Throttle Miester is here. I will go pick it up tomorrow.
Speaking of mounts, go to the UK Kawasaki site, they have a nice one there. And that gel seat looks fantastic.

I saw it, but don't like it at all. My Zumo bracket will work, but looks ugly too. Bought the ram stem mount, but loose fit makes it wobbly and I have to have it in the center, not up top on the left of the bars -- back to the drawing board I guess.

Typical, went to get the Throttle Meister and of course they sent the wrong ones. I hate it when that happens. No big deal, it has turned to winter here anyway.
