Failing LCD Display
Anyone had any problems? Mine went blank and then slowly came back over an hour or so of riding?

Mine faded one time as well, it came back after 7 or so minutes. I think it had to do with having my bike's LCD out in direct sunlight.

I'm in FL with no LCD problems and no overheating issues since I bought my '06 new.

If it sits in the sunshine it will be blank till it cools off. It has happened to others. Seems that is a trait of LCD displays.

My ZX-14 display did this for the first time last week. Maybe it was heat. Seems like it would have improved after a 15 min ride but it didn't. Next time I started the bike it was fine. I think it had been in the sun before the problem. I've seen LDC's turn black if you put a hair dryer on them, but I've never seen them wash out like that.

Well given the nature of bike riding we are constantly in the sun and parked without much cover from it most of the time.... this maybe something to change in the next model.

Today part of the bottom part was in the shade and the top was in the sun. Couldn't see the top but the bottom was kinda visible. Then it all kinda faded (not invisible) and 10 minutes later it was fine.

try putting your riding gloves over the display, when you park out in the direct sun light. the warrior's tach does the same thing in direct "hot" sun light. hope this helps you guys, and I am jealous/envious of you C14 bastards. i'm thinking of selling the warrior for this bike.
