I've been watching this site for a while now and was patiently awaiting until someone finally got their new bike. What I have read so far is encouraging. I took delivery of mine 7/13. It's the ABS model. I love almost everything about it. There are the two small things that most people mention, mirrors too low and turbulence behind the windscreen, that are a little annoying.
The folks who have been impatient with dealers should cool their jets! Don't cancel your orders. My local dealer explained that each dealer will get 1 standard and 1 ABS model initially. Some dealers haven't even received their first bike yet. The reason that dealers don't give any information is that they simply don't have it. It may be late August or September before they ship in any large numbers. This bike is worth waiting for.
Kawasaki will eventually offer a larger windshield and a tour tail box. The dealer had no news on those accessories. Does any one have any ideas for fixing the windshield problem?
What I have found is that Cee Bailey will have an aftermarket windscreen available on July 30. To date no one else has anything available. There is this laminar lip thing that attaches to the top of your windshield that is rumored to help. I may give that a try first, it's only $80.
