Cruise Control
Does anyone have any knowledge if Cruise Control in on the Concours14 or is an option??

Have not heard any hints that it would be a factory option, at least not for this first model year. The only factory option I am aware of that will be offered here is ABS.
However, I have little doubt someone will figure out an aftermarket cruise control system that will install and perform as advertised. There have been several dozen folks on my FJR forum that have installed the Audiovox cruise control and have apparently had very good service out of it. Wouldn't be surprised if something similar is done to the GTR1400 soon after owners start taking deliveries....

Very Spendy, but good. They're out of Australia, so support's going to be an issue.
The Audiovox CCS-100 ought to work with the C14 - all it needs is a throttle cable to pull on and vacume to create that pull. You'll need somewhere to mount it, but that shouldn;t be deadly.

Personally, I think a better option would be the Throttlemeister at only $125 and looks cool too!

The Throttlemeister works great if you ride on perfectly flat, horizontal roads, but those are few and far between here in western MT (and most of the world). For clarity, the Throttlemeister is a throttle lock, not a cruise control.
As serious sport touring riders, we should expect cruise control to be offered by the Japanese manufacturers on their sport touring bikes. BMW got it right on their K1200GT ($325 option for CC), why can't the Japanese manufacturers do the same on their sport touring models? I think it's inexcusable in this day and age when spending $13K+ for an ST1300, FJR1300, or C14 that the buyer still has to cobble together his own cruise control or buy and install an aftermarket one.

I think it is a matter of cost. The c-14 is already plenty expensive and you get alot of bike for the money you spend, would you rather have had them with all the bells and whistles for 18-20k?

I'm sure it is a matter of cost, and perceived demand, or lack thereof. I for one would pay an extra $500 for cruise control. Make it an option so those who don't want it don't have to pay for it. A lot of my riding consists of back-to-back 600+ mile days, so CC would definitely be something I would pay extra for.

Have cruise and heated grips now for outlay of $600. Fitted them myself easy.....waiting for Gel seat from kawasaki as on UK sites.

I used a local manufacturer for the grips but there are many out there, Oxford comes to mind. The cruise also was a local guy from Victoria in Melbourne. The gel seat and tank protectors higher screen top box etc are under development according to the site. Grips and cruise totaled $600 but i fitted them myself. That is Australian Dollars. $1 US = 87cents Australian.

Any additonal info you can provide on the electronic cruise control install? What wires did you connect to? You may be the first with electronc cruise control on the C14.
The CanBus system is still a problem for us in the USA.
