The one thing these touring bikes are missing is a long front fender. If any of the morons that design these things ever rode a bike in the rain like these are designed to do they would know that the FRONT TIRE sprays everything behind it with road grime! Hell my friends all chromed out Harleys take far less time to clean up after a rain that my 10R. REASON!!!!! is it has long front fender!! HELLO....... They also have an inner fender on the rear that don't allow the rear to spray everything in front of it! HELLO again....... Totally new concept???? I don't think so.. It could be done and made to look nice.

FBA, Fish,
Yep I was the doubter, seemed strange (to me) how the bike built for speed carries (2) 14lbs cans and the Touring has 1. Still sweeter looking in your pictures, I like the nose. I've always liked that style and those who held on to their 12R won't be disappointed they waited eh.
Were the instruments the same as ours? How many gallons does that puppy hold?
I learned something today, I will never doubt FBA again. Don't think I've ever doubted Fish, too much respect there.
Great job Guys

Warbird...I bet it's still gonna be the hottest ST out there...will run circles around the other 2 ST big bore's, even if the front looks like an FJ.

No doubt about that! It just looks like it bumped into something with the nose there. I'll reserve finall judgement till I see one in person. The FJR is a FINE looking and performing sport tourer..........no way it will stay with the Concours I'm sure. Too much muscle and technology............

Rob.........I still have 2 12R's because I LOVE the way they look..........I could only WISH the Concours front end looked that nice.

Damn. The front looks cool! I like it! Too bad it's just photo chopped. Right tuna breath?
Seriously on the whole, it looks rather dated. They followed up on the Concours styling a little too much. Pity they did not start with a clean slate.
It's a retro 2008 model. :P ::P
I like the concept but the execution is lacking.
The reason I bought a ZX-14 is that I always wanted motorcycling's equivalent to an Aston Martin, a big Mercedes or a Bently. A big comfy bike with tons of power and torque. It's my Mercedes bombing down the autobahn. Having my cake and eating it too. Comfort, handling, looks, power, looks, and speed. The ZX-14 fills all of these for me. If I had to design a bike the ZX-14 is as close as it gets to my imagination. The only thing I would do different is have switchable engine maps ala Moto GP and the new Suzuki litre bike for low end grunt or manners in poor conditions. (and make it Kawi Green!) Electronics and traction control has the potential to revolutionize streetbike if the manufactures choose to implement it wisely. Power and torque in dry conditions and manageable power and safety in wet conditions. Electronics have the potential for great things on street bikes with a little intelligent design. from manufactures. Bring it on!

I do like that they opened up the base of the windshield and route the air up behind it. Completely eliminates the 'vacumn bubble' behind the windshield. Should be smooth smooth smooth.

can't help but wonder if the headlights will be a step backward from the projector units on the 14. with a true touring bike like the concours, u'd want to put some real effort into brilliant lights.

Wow that a big bug eyed front light system. Looks like they could have thrown the turn signals in there too.

I'm curious about the bags. From the first pic, it looks like the passenger pillions have some play in the bag mounts????
