what goes around, comes around! Quote from Project Leader, Yoshirou Harada:
"An average highway cruising speed of 140-160km/h (85-100mph). An ample power band with low vibration and little mechanical noise. The machine must offer a high level of safety. Good riding stability even at 160km/h (100mph). Effective braking, ensuring reliability from the system even when heavily loaded and travelling at high speed. The riding position and all controls are to be ergonomically designed, offering a comfortable and relaxed ride. The lighting system, instruments and other equipment must possess high reliability, perceptible to the rider. The machine should be highly visible and distinctive in appearance. Every component must be reliable, with easy access and maintenance. Full use of new materials, production techniques and the latest surface treatments to create a unique design and assist high productivity. "
I think that sums up the goals of designing the GTR1400.
Yoshirou Harada made that statement in 1967 in the initial project meeting for the design of the CB750!
Needs a life
Full throttle!
