As reported in the latest test by one of the largest rags out there! So, just be aware when you're puttin it to an 08 CBR1000RR on your bike of choice & he suddenly falls back like his key was shut off. Well, he'll have a legit excuse cuz his Killa' Honda just got itself stuck in gear(just like the rest of'em that did the same thing in testing). But not to worry , contact stevewfl for an appropriate excuse. He is the local Honda propaganda rep.LOL!

WOW!

A few pre-production examples of an entirely new model are having one problem? No way! It could NEVER happen!

Really, dude, the over emotional "OMG! Avoid this bike like the plague because they all suffer from catastrophic transmission blow-ups launching gears into your testicles" is a little overboard don't'cha think? How many brand new bikes get recalled or product updates AFTER going into production with WORSE problems than a shifter glitch?

We get the idea, you don't like this bike, we got it already.

Whoa! Who said I didn't like the bike?

I don't like Stevewfl! Or his shameless promotion of the CBR & brainless bashing of the ZX10. The guy is a clueless ass & I'm just giving him some of his on medicine. Check some of his posts.

They call this guy a mod? He's spamming for Honda on a ZX10 board!

I would've already put him on "ignore" if I COULD!

BTW, another mag. MOTORCYCLIST april 2008 stated that they too experienced the same issue w/ the trans.

This is legit info. unlike the honda biased ranting that Stevewfl posts

Please do, because at this point you are just a distraction.

I used to come to this site to post and/or read INFORMATIVE threads. Stevewfl, you effectively diffuse those threads with each new post.

I'm not ranting Steve. You are pathetic, I've seen your pics. With a face like that it makes sense that you are so active on the net. It's quite obvious that this is the only place in your lil' world that you have any chance at credibility. I think you have very little use on this planet other than continuing to post jibberish.

Steve, just put the rope around your neck & jump. For the good of the Site!!!! Lol...

Thats the reaction I'm used to when people see my pics! I got dropped on my head when I was little!

The pics are good times. Please forgive the fact my homely face is in e'm. Good times keep me from grabbing that rope :P

Steve come on now! You know how much we all love your Honda spamming on the ZX10 board! Why don't you go toot Honda's horn on the Honda Board? Or better yet, go mod your R1 board. Go post some more pics or something!

post more pics? you haven't seen my uber-homely pics in the deal gap forum? those were from November 07. And the next "more pics" I post will probably be there with new Deal's Gap (1st May), then if things go well maybe the Bikeland Suches, GA ride.

There's nothing in the Honda forum except an echo, no reason to toot there. This ZX10 forum is getting to be about the same. Comparing the ZX10 to other litre bikes is OK, but you won't see any further posts from me in bad taste or anything that appears trollish or spam.

Sport Rider this month had tranny issues with their CBR1000 also.
They also added the bike smoked, very strange for a new bike.

Did you know that US spec CBR1000RR has LIMITED TOP END POWER?

Yes, you heard it right: US spec 08CBR1KRR will reach max hp at 10200rpm as opposed to EURO SPEC, that makes its maximum power at ~12000rpm.

You can find more info about it at 1000rr.net forums. And Honda CONFIRMED IT.

LOL. OWNED.

Resulting in 1-2% less peak hp, wow, nevermind the up to 8+hp over the other literbikes throughout the rest of the rev range and the fact the bike carries 30-40 pounds less weight.

Nevermind that Dynojet has already cleaned this up with a PC and an ignition module, they got 159HP with a stock exhaust, they also noticed the top end drop off and fixed it.

Nevermind that serious mods(190-200+HP stock displacement, no nos/turbo) usually include an HRC ECU anyways.

Nevermind Holden's privateer win in Superstock(closest class to what we ride) with stock ECU against factory Suzukis.

lol, really owned, wow.

I mean Kawasaki's own ZX6 and ZX14 came from the factory with restrictions, must mean they are "owned" as well? How about Yamaha's own R1 with it's dip in the middle of it's midrange? "Owned"?

When it's already faster than the other bikes it's not even a problem in the 1st place, especially considering the fact that anyone who cares about performance is going to get a PC/exhaust anyways, that's just more hp it's going to gain.

If the CBR is lighter, makes more midrange, and faster, imagine what it's gonna do with more on top too.

Nice "facts" you got there, really proved me wrong, "owned" again as you would assume?

So far we have:
1. Tranny issues were just a minor shift glitch on a few pre-production models certain to be sorted.

2. A few less peak hp not even needed due to the higher mid-range/30-40 less pounds of weight. Turns out it's easily bypassed with a PC/ig mod so not even an issue.

3. When proven wrong a certain someone resorts to name calling out of pure desperation.

Now go get your 5 peak hp and win your "dyno shootout" champ, wanna cookie?
