2007 600RR = 2008 1000RR?

The 2007 CBR600RR weighs in at 412lbs with a full tank! In 03-04 it weighed 445, the same as a GSXR1000, now just 3 years later the GSXR is 471lbs, some 60 lbs heavier than the 600RR. 60 POUNDS!

Question is, what will the 08 1000RR have in store for us? The current 1KRR comes in at 445lbs, could the 08 weigh as much as the 954 at 430?

I realize euro 3 emissions are the contributing factors for the K7 weight increase but the 600RR had too have the same restrictions. Makes one wonder? very impressive 600 my old scholl 2001 1k is still lighter than the '07 600rr but than again it cost as much as a 600rr too get it down that light...

I do hope Honda will surprise us with a light 1000rr with tad bit more compression. Actually wish they would make another VF1000 or VF1200 interceptor or a CBXRR! come on Hond don't be such a pussy

1984 I had VF1000 NOSceptor never could get the NOS to work right until one time. Too bad it snapped the chain and ripped the water pump out of one half of the case

The Vfour was deceiving, no real power hit like an inline has just linear progressive speed everywhere.

i doubt Yamaha will make a V-Max the way I want ie Chain Drive and 450lbs without the rumored styling but never know might surprise me.
