I have a very good friend who had some work done on his R1... let me ask him and get back with you...
I would start with Muzzys, and then Bob Carpenter... they should be able to assist you... but I will check and get back with you! what year?

Hey guys, thanks!!

It's actually for my snowmobile engine, that is basically a slightly deturned R1 engine.

It's a 2006 Yammy APEX, 1000cc 4cyl 4 stroke, 150hp EFI. The factory cams are the 03 R1 Race Cams apparently. This engine only revs 10800rpm, rev limiter is 11200. However, Power Commander soon to released is supposed to allow an 11700rpm rev limit and all the other goodies they do!!

I am simply looking for an increase in power throughout the rpm range. Maybe 10hp+ would be nice. That undetectable advantage!!

this is who I got from Jason Miller, who had a very very fast R1...

"Sure, I would recommend Joe Hahn to do to the cylinder head 800-645-6521"

I hope that helps!

We just finished one of those. Came out great, but it was expensive. The biggest problem is qetting adaquate valve spring pressure for running big boost.

Thanks for the reply Jay. I have heard that the valve springs are sub-par. There are better springs out there.

What kind of power increase do you expect? Will the sled have a Power Commander on it?

Jonathon

oh, I just noticed, well noticed before, but realized now that it will be a turbo?
