Welcome message to everyone tuning in to 1098Desmo.com
First of all, we would like to welcome you to this community. You may notice that things run slightly differently here - we promote and encourage free speech.
We opened1098Desmo.com at the end of December 2006.. Since then we've been working hard to gather information about this bike, and put it in a place where you can have open and honest discussion about it.
1098Desmo.com is part of a network of motorcycling communities known as Bikeland. Bikeland has been online since 2000 and has grown to almost 8000 members. Since the Ducati section of Bikeland opened only recently it's just starting to grow.
We'd like to welcome Doug Meyer as our moderator to 1098Desmo.com . Doug Meyer is a new 1098 owner, but brings years of technical and online expertise to the table. To find out more about Doug and his history in the motorcycle industry be sure to check out his column "Bridges" by clicking on "Columns" in the top menu bar.
This is a place to have fun, share stories, but most of all to learn... The release of a new model is a golden time... it's that one and only time we all get to figure out what works, what doesn't and why...
Stick around and enjoy the show!

From what I can see, although a bit slow moving this site has great potential.
I look forward to both learning and contributing to it.
