'06 or '07 - which to buy??
The local dealer has new examples of both GSX-R 1000 model years and I'm wondering which to buy or how much more the 07 is really worth. I know the newer model has power modes, gear indicator, shift light, adjustable pegs, supposed to have a better clutch, etc. The weight difference is made up by adding a pipe to either bike I presume. For some reason I feel slightly more 'natural' when sitting on the '06 but I want to convince myself the '07 is better.
I currently own a ZX-14 and plan on keeping it but am looking for a different bike for everyday use. Howwever, after researching and looking at the power to weight ratios on them, one might be drawn to think that the Gixxer 1000 is potentially a better drag bike than either a Busa or a 14 . . .
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My buddy just got off his 14 for an 07 gsxr 1000 and loves the bike. He had an 06 gsxr 1000 before the 14 and says the difference between the 2 1000's is night and day. power, smoothness and fun. not sure about drag since I don't do it.

I own a 07 1000 and owned an 06 1000. The bikes are night and day. I never could get the suspension to cooperate to my liking on the 06. I am also coming from a perfromance/road racing perspective. Both bikes are comfy, nice, fast, etc. but the "other" differences are light years different between the two. I wouldn't even make it a consideration to get the 06. I would take the 07, as I did, hands down.
