1000 GIXXER OR 08 BUSA/ZX-14
ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVE ANY SEAT TIME WITH THE BUSA OR ZX-14, AS COMPARED TO 1000 SPORTBIKES. I OWN A 2002 1000 GIXXER. LIKE TO CORNER REAL HARD, AND WHEELIE TO A LESSER EXTENT. HAVE BEEN THINKING HARD ABOUT NEW BUSA OR ZX-14. WILL THE HANDLING BE A DISAPPOINTMENT versus the 1000 sportbikes. i am willing to give up SOME HANDLING FOR MORE COMFORT. ANY FEEDBACK. THANKS

The Busa and 14 handle very well, but if you REALLY like the corners, you won't want to give up the liter bikes!

If you like to go real fast in the corners stick with a 1000, if you want to slow down a bit go with a Busa or 14 they can both corner as fast as you should on the street.

Isn't the 07-08 gxr more comfortable than an 02. I think the seat is a little lower in the frame so you aren't so heavy on the wrists.

I have an 06 ZX-14 and just bought an 06 Gixxer one-thousand. I wanted a liter bike and the 'zuki is as close to the comfort of the 14 as you can get from one. The ZX-10 feels like it wants to throw you over the bars with its riding position. My new Gixxer is a wicked, wicked monkey - but in my opinion, nothing beats the ZX-14 for comfort. I never thought I'd say this either but the 14 also makes a better starter bike as it is very calm below 4000 rpm whereas the Gixxer has no 'forgiving' spot in the powerband.

I also own a GSXR1000 and a 07 ZX14..Overall i enjoy the 14 with it's shear power and relaxing ride at a ripe old age of 44..Covering a lot of ground i ride my Goldwing but now considering the sale of my GSXR1000 due to the fact that a 100 miles and my back and neck hurt for the rest of the day..And thrashing in the corners isn't nearly as important as it used to be..You will be surprised how well the 14 handles overall and soon you won't care about the hyper race bikes anymore..Enjoy !! what a machine !!

I would personally advise you to stick to the 1000. If you do decide to go with a different bike, as a die hard suzuki man, I personally would get the kawasaki over the Busa. The comfort of the 1000 is nicer then one might suspect and the performance is top notch as well. I am incredibly tall and if it can work for me, I am sure it could work for you as well. You may get extra benefit from some clip ons and rear sets to change some things and when you have the bike set up to your riding stule/skill the suspension and ride height may help even further. It is very hard to beat the 1000 for all around comfort and performance in the same machine....my opinion.
