FS damaged (fixable) cylinder block
i have a 1287 block for a 12 that i bought over a year ago with plans on having it fixed so i could keep my stock block(for a turbo build). i ran out of time last winter and went with the block exchange from APE for my 1287 kit. Ive since decided that when i build a turbo bike in a few yrs ill use a billet block anyway.
the block has a couple cracks and some gouges in one hole. the motor it came out of dropped a valve. it can be fixed by Millennium. http://www.mt-llc.com/ they strip the plating, weld the damaged area, bore it again(the welded up hole) then replate
this would be great for someone wanting to build a 1287 and have their old block and pistons ready to go as back up.

just wanted to add this would be good for someone building something other than the standard JE 1287 kit (but it is fine for that too as thats what it was. 3 of the pistons and one new one are going in dads bike  ). instead of the typical 1270 exchange from Muzzys or 1287 exchange from APE you coud use CP pistons or MTCs or a custom set. MTC makes a really high compression 86mm piston. 14.7:1 vs the usual 13:1 of the JE kit.

remember no down time with this like an exchange program. then keep the stock stuff just incase, or sell it to get some of your money back (probly $300 for a good stock block)
an MTC 14.7:1 CR 1287 has your name all over it Nox
any reasonable offer takes it, its just sitting in the old mans shop

the only reason this block wasnt used for dads build was because we had his damaged stock block bored with no chamfer on the bottom of the block, and this one allready has one(as do all blocks from an exchange program). we plan on stroking dads motor to a 1394 eventually so the no chamfer gives added piston skirt support, allthough its harder to get the rings in that way...
