Trading

I have a 07 zx14 blue that has been wrecked. It tore off all front plastic. Still runs fine though.
But has salvage title. Does anyone think I should trade it to a 2002 gsxr1000. It is perfect, It has custom flame job, dark blue and orange, It also has an extended swing arm black powder coated. It also has NOS and a power commander that goes with it. And a carbon fiber spare gas tank. And has all factory plastic to go to. It only has 990 miles on a 2004 motor. It's a real nice bike everything aftermarket. I just don't want to let go of my 14, I Love That Bike.

Some states allow your to repair and register salvage titled bikes.
Just save all your reciepts and check local laws.
Kawabunga has a complete set of plastic for sale.

What do you plan on using the bike for? Me, I'd rebuild the 14, even if I couldn't put it on the street= rattle-can, flat-black, "RatBike".

The frame isn't hurt at all just the plastic. I had it about three days and a jeep pulled out in front of me. broke both arms and had a broke knee cap. Just now gettin back to work. Wrecked last september. Don't really have the money to fix back cheapest I've found is 1800 for everything all cowling pads brackets and bolt kit. If I don't trade I won't be able to ride all summer probably. Behind on bills from not working.

If you like the 1000 then trade it's up to you. I take it you had no insurance or the other guy did not have insurance either? Why don't they pay to fix your 14?

Probabably just paid off the 3 days old bike with cheap buy back. IF he replaced it he would have still had a note on the new bike and no job.

I'm supposed to get insurance settlements from both insurance companies. They're paying for all lost wages for the last seven months too. I had full coverage and the jeep I hit had it too, My lawyer is suing both were it was there fault. I guess I'll keep the zx14. But It might be a while til I get any money from either one. At least a couple more months. I paid $1500 for the bike back from my insurance company.

I did the same. I went to DMV and spoke with them to get the steps needed. I will build my monster and then have it inspected. I bet I can make it legal w/o it looking too stupid
