A common sense look at the 08 busa vs the 14?
Maybe not?
KAWK guys are looking at Suzi's (probably BS) spec sheet and are so smart, they know the bike will NOT out run the 14?
When Kawi was designing, testing and tweaking the 14, they probably had a few restricted and de-restricted busas around to test and tweak each mod, right? They made sure that they bested the Gen 1 busa?
The 12 was probably not even mentioned, ever!
Don't you think Suzi did the same thing and has tested EACH mod against the 14 and made sure that it bested the 14?
The Gen 1 busa was probably not even tested against, as they were a-gunnin' for the 14.
Or maybe Suzi is absolutely stupid? Maybe they only care about the liter bikes and below?

those guys are friends in japan, they play golf and drink tea while conversating about what they will do. they bikes will be close in performance, it will up to the riders.
