ABS light on on non-ABS bike
Hi Folks,
I'm fixing a wrecked 2013 14r non ABS bike for a friend. The bike was crashed and half pulled apart by the previous owner. We are using a crashed 2017 14r for some of the needed parts. Forks, front upper stay and the meter/gauge unit, controls... shit like that. the 2017 was an ABS bike. Everything seems to work on the gauge except the ABS light is lit. I have not ridden it yet to see if turns off as they do once rolling because it is not quite ready to be ridden. As stated this 2013 is not ABS. any info of suggestions would be helpful as to how to put that light out. BTW, I am willing to open the meter and disable that light if it is the only way. But if all I need it to out power or ground to a wire or pin that would be preferred.
Thanks in advance!

Follow up:
I figured it out. the violet wire from the ABS module sends a ground to the meter which turns out the light. This 2013 has no ABS so no violet wire. I scavenged a wire with the right pin connector from a damaged OEM harness and added that to the meter plug where the violet wire would have been if it had ABS, then connected it to a ground. ABS light is out. I assume this would work the same way if you wanted to delete ABS from any ABS 14r as well.
Lates!
