Triple Tree

Ok guys my question is how hard is it replace the triple tree & what steps? Lol it looks easy but before I try, thought I'd ask. Mine is a gen 14. Thanks

okay... a few questions... be more specific when you say "gen14" and are you asking about the top triple clamp when you say "triple tree"?

Just the top triple tree is a piece of cake.
Jack up the front end , remove the handle bars, remove the large stem nut, completely loosen the top triple clamp allen pinch bolts. Then slide the top clamp off . Might need some wd-40 to help coax the clamp into moving and also the ignition switch needs to be unplugged too.

fyi - something i learned eventually. when putting the top back on tighten the top nut FIRST than the forks. If you do it the other way around the top wont sit flush on the spanner nuts and when you tighten the center nut last it will tweak the forks a little and your sterring will feel weird. Plus the top nut can come loose over time.
