Very interesting. The empty lot next door is also up for sale.
Any idea why Kawasaki is selling? Are they downsizing, upsizing, or maybe moving to Texas like Toyota to escape California's high taxes?

Lotta good times and bad blood will be left behind in that building. All the employees they culled. It's pretty heavy. A lot of good soldiers taken out in that place.

Reminds me of ATT Wireless ... not to be confused with ATT Mobile.
ATT Wireless was a startup division that was going to put in wireless (wi-fi) internet at the street corner in major cities, and you would buy/rent the reciever from them. Business plan fell apart when someone actually looked at the economics and upper management decided to pull the plug on the project.
So they let everyone go that worked in two 250,000 sq ft buildings at the same time...
I was brought in to decomission some data servers and prep the gear for shipment.
Walking around the place looked like a neutron bomb had gone off...everything was still in place...people's cubes still had desktop computers, hell, I was able to make a pot of coffee while I was waiting for the gear to shut down. Definately had that 'ghost town' feel.

Similar here worked in the brand new HQ for Nokia North America. They abandoned the place ... amazing building. Left everything behind. Pulled the hard drives and walked away. There's a great show about stuff like this called Forgotten Planet on Discovery and also on Netflix. They have a freaky version called Abandoned America. Totally cool and worth watching!

Who wants to live in a liberal, "tax everyone to death" state such as CA? Its a mass exodus out of there.
