any ideas on hot to check the rear swingarm to make sure its not bent? The rear wheel just doesnt look perfect to me. the chain looks aligned- wheel just looks a little cocked - maybe its me. I never have had luck using the whole string test thing.

A pretty simple but not completely accurate way to tell if your swing arm is way off is to take the wheel off and just install the axle and spacers . You want to see if the axle installs with no binding. Also make sure the bike is level. Put a small level on the top tripple tree clamp and make sure the bike is level at that point. Then put a level on the rear axle bolt . It should be level. If not then which ever way the bubble is at means the swing arm ie bent the opposite direction.
