wheel swap
i want to put a set of 07gxsr1000 wheels on my 06 14 where can i get spacers and what other mod will i have to make this work..

Your going to need to measure everything. I've never seen anyone do this swap. I'm sure someone has, just not sure of any of the specs.

May i ask why? Do you have a set sitting around or are you looking to lose some wieght? If the later, i believe the 2012 14r rims are light e r than yours and should be a simpler swap process.

yes i have a set sitting they are show chrome i just think it would be a clean look

What's show chrome?
Is that the same as Chrome?

Basic GOOD Chrome job: This is two coats of nickle (duplex nickle) over steel then chromed. The thickness of these layers is the main difference in these two specs PL1 and PL2. The chrome makes the nickle shine and seals it.
The other method is what is used on ""Show" Chrome" Before the nickle, there are two coats of copper. The copper is used as a leveling agent. It fills all the small flaws and pores of the steel. The copper coat may then be re polished. After the copper has leveled everything, the two coats of nickle (duplex nickle) are added for about the same shine results, but to a much more finished surface. The nickle is then sealed with the chromium layer. A show chrome piece gives a much deeper reflection because the surface below the nickle is basically smoother.

Ya a by waight diff , but if ur going for looks it's the diffrence of spray bomb paint compared to house of kolor paint job .

I weighed some 2012 wheels thinking they were ligjter. The back was only 1lbs lighter than the gen 1 wheel. The front was the same. If u want 3 bar wheels the zx9 front wheel will work also. The 3 bar and zx10 wheels are close in weight. Thats alot easier to do.

I love the zx10 06 07 wheels swap , IMO they look nice and save waight .
