New 14R owner

Loving this new scooter. I've owned 6 Busas, still own 2.
I decided that I needed something to RIDE, instead of race.
That lasted almost a week.
The showroom

Lowered with black wheels.

The track

At 260 pounds and the bike only lowered, I went a 9.96 at 144 on my first pass.
Ended up at a 9.93 with a 6.52 1/8th mile pass.
I went to the shortbtrack on Sunday and went a 6.42, so I should be easily in the 9.80s. Looking for some .70s soon.

Congrats brother..........Great bike and great shots. IMO he 14 looks incredible when slammed! My first 1000klms saw me dragged my pipes a little bit, scuffed my rear under fender and put a minor ding in my front fender from the upper faring collapse on heavy braking (all minor corrections by either modifying the suspension and or body parts to get them out of the way, cause I'm not raising the bike up, I love it slammed!

Congrats, you will enjoy this bike, is this the same bike as the one on the showroom floor, your bike has gloss black wheels & no flames. You should go faster if you loose the Suz jacket hehehe.

Yours is also a 2012? Peeled the flames & painted or traded the lowers?

I always thought the polished wheels looked out of place on the 2012 Golden Blazed green. Polished wheels on the 2012 sparkly black would have been the win! The 2012 blue is just about perfect.. just needs the flat black lowers and pitch forks from the white 2013.

Why Kawasaki doesn't consult me first is a mystery to me.. cuz I have an eye and can set them straight!

No, mine is a 2013 without the flames. My friend's is a blue 2012 and looks pretty good with the polished lip wheels. I MUCH prefer the black wheels!!

There's also a metallic midnight sapphire blue (which I just bought) in some regions- I wanted the blaze green, but it wasn't available in Thailand (where it's the ABS blue in 2013 or nothing).

Yes black wheels all the way!!!! I'm restoring a 1990 ZX-10 B3 at the moment and the wheels are to be bead blasted then painted gloss black. Looks much better than aluminium and cleaning them is also 100 times easier.
