Be honest

How many of you guys chop at 7500 rpms? Word on the street some 14 riders are prematurely chopping before the explosive rush of redline.

A wise man once told me if a guy chops early.....

"HE'S AFRAID OF IT! HE'S AFRAID OF THE BIKE!!!"

7,500 rpm ?

In town you don't need much more than tickover on these bikes and that's honest. I remember when I removed the flies and remapped my 2006 bike, it was making more power at 3,500 than a Suzuki Bandit's maximum.

This makes the "head-for-the-horizon" top end rush even more exciting when you get the chance to open it up.

Never at 7500. I have at 10200, to stop that b*tch from flipping over on my head in first gear.
However, lately I have had a "f#ck it" attitude and haven't been chopping anything, except for the head of the rider in the other lane.

Bandit 1200 vs. 2006 ZX-14

This doesn't sound right to me. A Bandit 1200 makes 100+ peak HP and a 2006 ZX-14 should be substantially less than that at only 3500 RPMs, even with flies out. Maybe between 5000 and 5500 RPMs your statement would be correct unless you were talking about a Bandit 750, 650, 600, 400, or 250. Check out this link:

Also, I would think that by leaving the flies in, that would enhance the top end rush feel because there would be more of a hit. My 2006 ZX-14 for example has the flies in and is well mannered below 7K but the rush comes on and hard so it is like having 2 bikes in one. If the power came on too early, the hit at 7K would feel diminished (relatively speaking).
