Sucks to ride a motorcycle in Illinios in 2013
Public act 97-743 goes into effect Jan 1, 2013. $1000 fine for popping a wheelie while speeding.
Wow, Some pockets will be lighter in 2013. You know that will be stretched to any wheelie popped getting a ticket.
Stupid laws like this get passed but they can't agree on sensible tax plans.

what if the front wheel comes off the ground and you are below the speed limit?
Florida has had that law in effect for a couple of years now.

It's a good thing a bike accelerates faster with the wheel on the ground then.
Stand by for some low quarter-mile times by Illinois riders in 2013

IL is one of the worst states out there for idiot laws. And it's all due to the idiot dems and their bleeding heart logic. Totally worthless IMO. Feel for any conservatives that have to put up with that crap.

I think Illinois could be the most corrupt state in the union. well-known for its corrupt politicians, kickbacks payoffs, it's where our fearless leader "bought" into the system, and he knows the system well! . All you have to do is promise people free stuff! the only problem with that is like a credit card, someday, you have to pay for it . That's where "you" come in.

Blagojevich is the second Illinois governor in a row to follow his term in the governor's mansion with a stint in federal prison and the fourth from Illinois that has served time in the past 50 years.

quote: When do you not chase a speeder?
I clocked a guy on a crotch-rocket bike doing 189 mph. Just let him go. Since police departments began to get sued for chasing speeders, around 1995, there's a fine line. You have to determine if you can catch him, if chasing him will cause an accident for him, for you, for the public. There's no way to catch anyone like that.
i wonder what crime stoppers pay these day i think i know who did that...

quote: What's the toughest ticket you've had to write?
I clocked a woman coming down from New Mexico on Highway 54 at 111 mph. She had just been stopped for going 90 mph 15 minutes [earlier] in New Mexico. Everybody has a reason, and I want to know it. I always ask why someone was speeding, and that's just to open things up. I want to know what they're thinking, if they need my help for something. She had been crying, and the tears didn't just start—they'd been going on a long time, you can tell. She was on her way to a motel in El Paso to catch her husband who was shacked up with another woman there, cheating. How do you write a ticket for that?
I'd told her want to get even i get off at 5.. but instead the dumb fukk wrote her a ticket.. well at least he got her address
