not another ZX14 for me "quite yet" but.....

An old retro '90s ZX9R fell right in my lap for pennies. Its just like the one state farm replaced after a douche stole mine. I had bought that one brand new and missed it ever since.

I can't find a thing wrong with it except a fork seal may be starting to leak.

I will very much appreciate it...if you even sit on the bike it'll be faster I can't imagine if you put parts on it

Love those ZX9's. I still have my 99 model that I got new in Jan. of 2000. It's one of those bikes that I plan on keeping forever.

First stock bike in the 9's- by a magazine tester at that.

I had a 98 (in 98), but only went 10.18 swb with a pipe and strap.

I had one too Steve, so did my youngest boy Chad. His was identical to yours, even the same Muzzy pipe!

Great, all around bikes......good looking too.

Yours looks extra clean & sharp!

I have a good crank and four rods from one of my extra engines sitting on the shelf. I had a 98 as well. Great bike. Just don't ride long wheelies or the #3 rod will be toast.

Beautiful! The frame on mine back in the day was raked and shiny too but i didn't have it stretched, turning low has always been a priority over going straight quickly

Will keep that in mind...and if my engine goes to smokin' for a refreshing or rebuild I'll make you an offer on the stuff

Now I want one.I used to check out a 98 ZX-9 at my dealer. It was burgandy.Beautiful bike.I had a 03 Z-1000 which used the same engine but had FI different head and milder cams.It would wheelie in first when the revs got going,But it was the most uncomfortable bike I ever rode.Allways wanted a ZX-9.

It didn't aggravate me at all...I was serious, I really do wish bikeland had a zx9 forum. I love my 9. I've had it for almost 13 years and don't ever plan on getting rid of it...glad you were able find one in good shape. Been trying to post a pic of mine but can't get it to work for some reason.
