9.92@145 if my memory is correct. The bike has very good power, however the chassis is very hard to manage with the additional power. We weighed the bike and it came in at 675 pounds. That bike is nearly 170 lbs heavier than a similar zx14 with a turbo. Much of the weight on the concours is high and makes it extremly hard to launch. Essentially, John Fernandez (rider) had to just roll the bike off the line to keep it from carring the front wheel. If he tried to leave at higher rpms, the bike would be in the air immediately. He was unable to pin the throttle until third gear. That bike is one fun unit to street ride, but the chassis is not condusive for an ultimate e.t. at the strip. For us the shaft drive make for a entirely different chassis tuning strategy. Even with a revalved shock, the combination of a shaft, stock wheelbase, and a high center of gravity confronted us with a challenge we had no experience with. We were happy just to get the bike into the nines. I feel that if we took away some power on wastegate the bike would be easier to ride at the strip. But, the fun factor on the streets would be gone in my opinion. That bike has around 210 hp on wastegate and 240 on a second stage of boost that is in the highbeam of the light switch. Even on the first stage that bike is a handful just street riding. Lew Waterman, the owner of that bike was wanting me to put even more power to the bike. Making power is not an issue with the turbo system or his motor, however I have no idea of what that shaft drive is capable of withstanding, so therefore I wanted to keep things within reason. I asked him to ride the bike before we turned it up anymore. Me and John consider ourselves fairly capable riders, but in the wrong hands that bike could prove to be fatal to someone that is greedy with the throttle or inexperienced. The fun factor of that bike on the street is like no other, we all joked around the shop about throwing the saddle bags on that bike and going to the streets to find a busa, or 1000 and challenging them to a roll on. That bike a for sure one unique piece to say the least. Tucked away under all that plastic is a full turbo that dumps back into twin muzzy's, water injection, and two stages of boost. Chris Jones...

that sounds like a blast to ride. Does it try to launch like a chain drive? My dads Vmax feels like it goes up in the back instead of squatting. Its easy to get in trouble when you grab a handful of throttle with a turbo bike.lol

It launches nothing like a chain drive bike, exactly the opposite. It actually pushes up in the rear on the hit, then the supension starts to compress down afterwards. Very similar to the V-max.

Chris: I ordered a Catalyst step seat brace. Have to figure out how to rig a working tail light with that seat and get it padded a little. I also got a Condor trailer/pit wheel chock. Don't know how much difference it makes but the shock was revalved and set up for a 240 lb. rider and John only weighed 155 lbs. Best pass was 9.92 @ 144.
Smokin: I haven't forgotten you. I just got the bike home and have to do a few things. My lumbar spine/sacroilliac are causing severe hip/sciatic nerve pain. Getting steroid injections. Will get with you when I can. No question, your bike is faster than mine, though. Lew
