Question about 14r fly's
Last week at the track i noticed the bike was pretty inconsistent on the launches. Sometime it would bog or sort of cut out for a split second and then come come back on. I was thinking of pulling the flys for this weekend, and was wondering if the bike would need a different map for that. I'm running Brock's pump gas track map now. Not sure if Brock's even offers a no fly's map for the 14r?

Ya traction control was off, if I forget to turn it off the bike acts all kinds of weird with the 40t rear sprocket. Is it pretty much the same as pulling them on the gen1's?
I'll pull them, thanks

Is removing them
The same procedure? Pull the tank, covers and then they are right there?

Untill you get the reflash to disable the safety mode in the first 3 gears do your burn out then pull up to the tree and turn the key off .restart bike ,turn t/c off.Do not let revs drop on your launch or it can trip safety mode again...............

Gentlemen- FYI from Don Guhl regarding what he can now do with your ECU.
Thanks very much for the follow-up Don, greatly appreciated. We’re very excited to get you to work your ‘magic’ on the 2013 ECU. I should have the bike later this week or early next and as soon as we do, I’ll pull the ‘brain’ and send it down…….Christallmighty, I just might send you my brain as well and get you to remove 60 yrs of restriction!!!!
All the best,
Cliff
Cliff,
Thank you for the update emails.
I see that your dealer now has your new bike. We are ready for the ECU whenever you get it.
We have the ability to make the traction control be totally off when you turn it off. We can also make it stay off when you turn it off and power cycle the bike. Normal operation forces the TC back on when you turn it off and power cycle the bike.
After the flash, there are no longer any restrictions in the ECU, including the secondary throttle plates, so there is no need to remove them. Through testing, it appears that the engine makes more power with the secondaries installed.
We can remove the top speed limiter and raise the rev limit.
We have worked with the ignition mapping and we have a custom timing map that does help.
Everything that I have mentioned is part of our standard derestriction reflash.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Don Guhl
