..if i lost respect its from dumb asses that can't see past a zx14 logo .. if the busa is faster as a built bike so be it i can admit it you can't along with others.. if the busa is cheaper to make hp i can admit it .. if the busa has all the records i can admit it .. not make up excuses why a zx14 is better and hate on the other guy.. but like i said 7 years and there ain't a zx14 on the planet running 4.90's ..but theres tons of Suzuki's and old GS and KZ'S that can ..
so dig into ur pockets and build that 1st one wee..
He doesn't need to build one .. They are two here in FL going 4.90s in the 1/8 mile ..I'm sure there are more but don't need to post about it ..

That i don't know 1bad .. It was braket race so you know anyone can win them .. Like a honda 750 automatic that won in GA .. You don't have to be fast , just be there on time ..

Heres the kicker.... the engine is now broken in and its close to 230 hp and the bike actually went 223 mph on one of the runs at that event.
As for comparing a 600 to a 1340 cc engine thats not comparable. I have a 3.5cc water cooled engine that makes 1.5 hp... that would be like a 600 cc engine making 205 hp.
If we had a variable viscosity atmosphere then we could get equal hp per cc for all engines no matter the size.

Well the salt flats are the true test and gets all the fame ..I get the fact that it takes place on salt , but with 5 miles you can really max out a bike even with the alt being so high .. But to say the ECTA is nothing and means nothing is wrong .. Standing mile records are not easy as you know ..I give these guys a ton of credit for doing what they do .. Many have died trying ..

You really think you can get Jims head and cam package for 2500 bucks ? think again ... It maybe stock bore and stroke but that motor is blueprinted ... Add labor and tunning cost and all the other tricks within the rules and 2500 bucks are not even going to get you close ..
If you think you can do it for 2500 bucks at home do it and show us how easy it is ..

1Bad do you know of any other stock bore & stroke gen 2 busa that makes this type of hp. Come on be honest that is very strong, what does a average1440 busa show on the dyno jet.

1440 would show alot of hp
stock 1340 busa average around 190hp with pipe and pc3.. ok how this a friend with a 06 zx14 with a hand ported head and pistons made 209rwhp nothing else of parts no decking of head but a thin gasket .. before 184hp.. and we got some really strong busa's running around here..

1Bad just for the record we ran 7,56 way back in 2003 & 7,48 in 2004 with a zx12 Turbo, 3rd in the world finals our rider beat all the big names in the states,only Barry Henson won him in the semis by a thousands of a second and going on to win in 2003. Our bike was prepared by Rob Muzzy & Colby Adams, no hp from Jim . So yes a Kawa can do it.

sorry coming in 3rd ain't 1st .. but what i learnt nobody remembers the guy coming in 3rd but they remember who won ..and with that then you should know also ..that nobody cares who you beat but if you won .. until them kawa are in the winner circle i ain't a believer i only believe what i see and don't really believe that ..

Specific power outputs of over 300hp per litre are not impossible even with a cylinder size of 300cc or so
( 3000cc V10 Formula 1 engines from a few years ago for example were making over 900 hp ),
I wasn't suggesting it would be cheap or easy just that it would be theoretically possible to make well over 270hp with a 1340cc inline 4 , a 1000cc MotoGp engine isn't that far off.
If money and power characteristics were no object a Gen 2 Busa sized engine could be making 400hp normally aspirated or am I missing something?
