i have a point just some people are to stupid to see it because it was a busa .. but then again thats why the busa's holds every record because the zx14 guys keep using that crutch "excuse" of it ain't stock so it don't count.. didn't use pump gas so that don't count. oh the front brakes are off thats not fair.. .. when at a race who's racing stock bikes anyways..

212mph with an essentially stock 14R is much more impressive than 219mph on a not even slightly stock Gen2Busa...
Any vestige of a point that you may have is lost in a fat sea of negativity and anti14R sentiment that will obviously antagonise a partisan audience...

how can you prove the that shanes bike would run 212mph at bonneville same day same time when the other bike ran 219mph AND SET A NEW WORLD RECORD and was tech to be what it was ..stock bore stock stroke 1340cc's
ask shane what his fastest mph was on his old gen with him riding run ran at loring.. then ask him what his gen 2 ran with him riding.. and it was because he had great air that day is what your gonna be told ..

I can not prove that ... I am however more impressed by it.
Just because an engine is stock bore and stroke it is not necessarily at all standard inside. Who knows the expense and trickery that hide within...

Not saying that these would be needed to get 223hp from 1340cc as that is less than 100hp per litre or about the same as a 10 year old 600...

Guessing you meant 200hp/L mick? That busa does 166hp/L (assuming rear wheel) vs 180hp/L for the '12 ZX-6R.
But I don't know that you can use that as a fair benchmark. It is clearly harder to get (reliable) power out of a larger engine, otherwise hyperbikes wouldn't always fall so far short in the power per liter war.

My bad... what i meant was that the specific power was the same as a 100hp 600. which as you correctly state is 166hp per liter.
Theoretically you could build a hyperbike engine with lightweight internals that could match the 200+ hp of a WSB engine and make 270 or so out of 1340cc albeit with no bottom end or midrange...

oh and then theres the 315mph LSR busa vs the zx14 230mph ..heck this weekend a girl on a ragggy old 1999 copper turbo busa went 243mph ..230 was a warm up pass for her

..if i lost respect its from dumb asses that can't see past a zx14 logo .. if the busa is faster as a built bike so be it i can admit it you can't along with others.. if the busa is cheaper to make hp i can admit it .. if the busa has all the records i can admit it .. not make up excuses why a zx14 is better and hate on the other guy.. but like i said 7 years and there ain't a zx14 on the planet running 4.90's ..but theres tons of Suzuki's and old GS and KZ'S that can ..

Just for the record, the engine in question is not highly modified really.
Stock rods
stock crank
stock valves
stock tranny
its really mostly stock
Heres what it has....
Pistons
Ceramic tranny and cam bearings
The head is CNC ported by Competition CNC and it has our stage 2 cams and APE springs and TI retainers.
Thats it folks. No super secret parts or expensive stuff.
We can duplicate that piston, head and cam package for anyone.
Heres the kicker.... the engine is now broken in and its close to 230 hp and the bike actually went 223 mph on one of the runs at that event.
As for comparing a 600 to a 1340 cc engine thats not comparable. I have a 3.5cc water cooled engine that makes 1.5 hp... that would be like a 600 cc engine making 205 hp.
If we had a variable viscosity atmosphere then we could get equal hp per cc for all engines no matter the size.
