My local dealer hasn't even gotten them in yet... Amazing bike!!! You didn't waste any time setting her up. How much did she run you?? If you dyno her, please let us know and show us the results. I want to see if the 13 14R's are putting out good numbers as the 2012 14r... I hope Kawi stayed consistent.. Congratulations man... I hope to pick up mine in a month or two. Also post pics of the finished product after u get the plastics on

Ya I'm going to see what I can do with swb and then add some
Inches

Ran some 9.2s with the 09 at swb so
Hopefully I'll be able to better that

I need to figure
Out the gearing and try and get the suspension dialed
In for my weight

At first you might find your 09 will run faster because it was more controlled with less HP .. The new zx14r is hard to ride at stock WB .. It will go faster but you are going to need some seat time .. 17/40 or maybe even 17/39 will help ..

Ya I hear what your saying, it's going to be real hard to keep the front down and still get the throttle wot in first. Im about 235 suited right now, do you think that the 17/39 would be too much? I dropped one tooth on the back of the 09 and it seemed to help.

Does anyone know how much dropping a
Tooth usually pulls the axle back?

With the stock chain and gearing you have about an inch to go back in the swingarm

One tooth about a 1/4 inch .. I think i used a 40 on the rear and got real close to the end of the adjuster ... Don't hold me to that because it was close to a year ago .. I have no clue at your weight what gear will work best for you , you will just have to try one and find out ..
I will tell you this , if you bog the bike it will fall into safe mode even with the T/C off .. It will slow you down a full tenth .. You have to keep the revs up above 4k or it will fall into safe mode .. First mod get the ECU reflashed or remove the flies .. Either will remove the safe mode .. Even if you do the reflash pull the flies .. Flies out still gives you better throttle controll even with the reflash ..

Possibly an 18/42 or for me 18/40 combo, if the chain length is a problem?

Not sure, we'll know in a week - may have to remove the primary sprocket splash plate.
