hey Mr smartypants, WTF do YOU know about A/F?

it looks like for one pipe motor was "tuned" to 13.5-14; prob to get better economy?

darrylez1:

Beautiful pipe and stout torque curve, never mind top end HP. I imagine you are...quite happy with Hindle and your custom tune at this point. Enjoy riding that beast. Working on tweaks to mine shortly.

Enjoy,

Leo

darrylez1,
all kidding aside...

1. did your tuner intentionally target AF=13.5-14:1 on the system w/the Evo? (seems pretty lean, even for a pure street bike)

2. did your tuner intentionally target AF = 12.4-12.7 on the other system? (maybe a bit rich for a street bike)

As i'm sure you know, normally the AF targets are very similar when comparing similar exh systems.

Perhaps yr tuner found it took wildly different AF's to get max hp out of each exh system???

Karl

BTW: if AF considerations don't ring yr bell, just say the word and i won't bother you any more.

Cheese is correct, the hp #'s are because of the map.

A/F is way off-

There will be zero difference in hp between those mufflers

The blue curve is dyno jets map for a stock bike, the stealth exhaust was installed last spring with no PC5,I installed the PC5 after the exhaust was already in.The custom map is on the Evolution muffler. The red curve shows 60 runs on the bike ,not all of these runs were on the evo, some were on the sidewinder, but the the graphs are for the evo with a custom map.I do not know what the differences would be between the stealth and the evo with custom maps, but I will find out for you.Personally I like the evo better for the looks and sound.I'm 60 years old and know this bike is fast.Hopefully I will become the oldest old fart to go over 200mph,I need the hat to cover my receding hair line.Drew the stealth will be available thru Brocks.JZX I think the evo will have more peak hp then the stealth.Any questions you have I will try my best to get the answers
