what am i gonna run first pass on my zx14r
I have got everything ready to rock and it`s 80 % fucking rain tomorrow here in st.louis.I`ll shoot for next Wednesday....Soooooo my set up is.14r lowered middle hole brocks and 3/4 " up front.I will have it strapped tight also.Stock gearing .Brocks17"ct full system with his pump track map in the pc5....Dale walker push electric button shifter.24 psi in stock rear tire.Everything else STOCK.I will be on the back tire the whole way most likely.I weigh 135 to 140...........Also for reference i run 9.6 on a good pass on my 2000 12r set up the same way..............But this fucking bike is a MONSTER..................

Gateway is !/4 mile.I will only get 2 runs because they will kick my ass out for goinng under 10 flat..........I will have to get my nhra license next season.I run 6.3 on my 12r in the 1/8

with only 2 runs, and the extra power, I still say 6.3s maybe 6.4s. let us know how it goes.

Mark, I ran 9.8 on my 2006 14 with the same set-up as your 14R. Stock wheelbase, fitted with a TiForce system, a PC3 and just lowered, strapped, geared 17/40 and I was foot shifting.
You're lighter than me and using a shifter so my guess is you'll run below 9.5.

I've been 6.60's in low power mode at stock height, no strap and i'm 190lbs. I say 6.20's and 9.31 at 152.58

I just thought it would be fun for everybody to guess.Hell i got no clue.Anyway i should have video and pic`s and time slips for the answer hopefully by next week...it`s really raining in st.louie right now.I would be making my 1st pass around this time if it was`nt rained out......How bout them CARDNIALS.............

Mark i found this bike very hard to ride at stock wheel base .. I only made a fews run at stock wheel base , i think my best was 6.10 if i remember right .. It was much easlier to go faster on my Gen 1 than the Gen 2 .. I was able to run 5.89 in the 1/8 mile with the Gen 1 after lots of seat time . ..

Hey, just run 1/8 mile and shut it off, you will coast thru in low to mid 10 sec. Work on those 60's, 330's , 1/8 mile will tell you a lot.
Practice , practice, practice till you get ready to go home then run full 1/4 .

close 1 st week of november anyway.Those assholes with the cars blow up all the time and oil down the track.All we do is wait most of the time.Average test and tune bikes get 4 pass`s.Sometime 2 or 3......

Put in a 40T in the rear. It won't wheeling as ez. I went 5.96@124 in the 1/8 SWB. Brocks street Meg,muzzys links the lows sitting strap, and no flys.

Smoking I agree , my gen 1 super sport with mr 12 swb was extremely hard for me to handle. Took me months to get we're I wanted to be. But I guess u could run 6.3

He was saying go to the 1/4 mile track but only run the 1/8 and shut it off. That way you can keep running. Before you leave for the night and you get better at 1/8 run the 1/4 on a good pass.

He won't have to worry about getting kicked out his first time on a 14R anywway lol... 99% of the people that I see that have the 1/8th mile is for pussies mentality can barely put a decent pass together on a normal bike... let alone a 14R.

I'd go to 1/8th mile track, after you get that 1/8th down pat the rest should be all bout ur shift points being made right? Actually i would think after the 330 mark its all bout shift points and tuck, but then again............. I am a slow poke, lol

The first 1/8th is all talent , I'm a pussy couse I run a 1/8h mile? Maybe the closest 1/4 mile track is 200+ miles away and I work 6 days a week. I respect any one running any kind of 14 at a track , fast or slow it's all fun and learning.

i think what he trying to say is ..most dumbasses think they can out backhalf everyone or make it up on the back half  .. just think the 1st 660ft you gained 130mph the 2nd 660ft you gained 28mph
