Check your air filter.....! 3002 miles on the 14r......pulled the air filter....wow.....lots and lots of sand.....slapped it on the concrete floor 3 times to get the dirt out....vacuumed it, scraped it and used 120 psi air compressor to blow out the recessed paper.
I could not believe how much dirt was inside this filter after such low mileage!
So maybe you guys may want to just check your to make sure none of that dirt is getting past your filter and into your intake tubes...

Don't know guess maybe behind other vehicles and they kick it up into the air, and the air intake is picking it up....slammed down the filter 3 times on hard concrete and got 3 piles of dirt......but feel like I got about 98 % of the garbage out of the stock filter.....was really amazed at the stuff this forward air intake picks up over 6 months driving this bike.

The dirt was down in the bottom of the baffles not on top center leading edges. Slap yours on concrete a few times and you will be surprised what you will see.

Was it an actual 3002 miles or was it maybe 3000, or maybe 2998.6 ?
Blew it out with 120 psi? That's funny. Why not just chuck it in the bin and go ride it in your sandbox?

Ok, you answered your own question..
Quit riding your zx14R in the sand box. Only zx14's can do that. The "R" in the zx14R makes it "race ready" no off roading.
