ken how about we take a picture of our mileage and text them to each other and then compare mileage of street use at the grudgefest per bike ..

I know, I know, the truth hurts. So I got you this law of the Texas state law for motorcycles.
Sec. 547.604. MUFFLER REQUIRED. (a) A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working condition that continually operates to prevent excessive or unusual noise.
(b) A person may not use a muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device on a motor vehicle.
Just keeping it real.

Not trying to but in but a Turbo is a muffler in a sense. A muffler is nothing but a silencer, it could be a baffle in a straight pipe just so long as it keeps the exhaust noise below a legal decibal. Ask me how i know this, lol! Had to prove this to a cop.

it's not really the muffler that bothers me, it's the ability to run a flat pan and set the bike right on the ground. 2 inches closer to the ground is as good as 2 inches longer.

Set em both at 3" ground clearance, take a 3" pipe and it has to roll clean under the bike, same as real street class. Mine will pass this test.
1bad that Busa used to belong to a friend of mine here, we tuned it but never went into the motor, supposed to have stock rods with wiseco pistons and. 080 spacer. Bike ran real good, it made 278hp, and could have went higher but not with stock injectors, same friend wishes he never sold it, he did so because of a girl, now she's gone and he's on a Gen 2 Turbo Busa.

Now would that be 3 inches taken from your flat pan, compared to my stock oil pan with under pan exhaust ?

Sounds like Jenny Craig should be involved in this race with all you "big-boned" guys...haha. So much easier to whittle that gut down 20-30lbs than save a few ounces of harware off your bike. Sorry, this post was too funny with all the big boys talking sh!t!

They make flat pans for 14's too, lol. I say we go for a ride across town then line em up with no changes.....

it had a johnny cheese map in it when i open the map file and was dynoed at 301hp.. they said at 10k miles they did a rebuild and had a list of stuff done ..s2000 injectors and ART dished Pistons" whatever those are" .. it has 14k miles now... but from the bottom them pistons sure look stock.. i tuned it for e85 and never touch boost settings and have fuel to spare.. waiting on a set of rods to pop up cheap

yeah I realize that, but to take real advantage of the flat pan you need a sidewinder exhaust, I don't consider them safe to drive on the street. As matter of fact at our last grudge fast two bikes got up against the wall and couldn't get them off the wall, because of the Sidewinder, one went down.
And as far as the street ride, the first night we scene y'all a bike night. We had written our bike hundred mile round trip, to the place were you are at. I know you offered us a race that night, but I'm not real big on running a bike straight out of the trailer with us own pump gas, I'm sure you understand the importance of that. It doesn't make much sense to race a bike that you know is making 100 hp more than you on the highway! but giving the weight difference between y'all and at a eighth mile track,does even the odds up.

i've got some big bone for jenny craig .. you must not hang around skinnies ..they eat kids meals and eat a box of exlax before a race to shave weight ..not counting the bst wheels and drilled hardware and the lightest leathers you can buy .. even there boots are light weight.. they even have a hair cut and cleaned shaved to save weight.. us fat guys got pounds to spare them skinnies only have ounces

maybe you need to check into louisiana streetbike rules being your on the border ... i'll get a mexican inspection sticker next time NAFTA

I tell you what,just to keep it friendly,I will race Matt,motor to motor,no spray.I would prefer a full tree but I know what the answer is to that.I suck on a pro tree,so basically I will be spotting him a tenth.We can do it for $20,$50, cheeseburgers whatever.
