extended swingarm and LSR

I'm not concerned with breaking any records but I really want one of those 200mph club hats. How far out (if any) can you be extended before it starts causing issues?

It's more usual in LSR to run with a stock wheelbase. The reason being that you need as much weight over the rear wheel as possible for better traction, particularly important as speed increases.

you have to set a record over 200 mph to get a hat at ECTA/SCTA events.

That's my 2006 bike. It has a TiForce system, PC3 with a custom map, Speedo-Healer, lowered and strapped and geared either 18/41 or 17/40 depending on conditions. Mirrors etc off too. It went through the speed traps at over 200 nine times, 205.4 was the best.

My 2012 is having a Brock's CT, PCV and an ecu reflash and will be lowered and geared up a little. It's work-in-progress but hopefully it'll be faster than the old bike.

This year we were making 258 hp all motor and had a wheelbase of 68" and the bike was geared for 226 mph at 11,600 rpm.
We couldn't get it over 210 and the tach was at 11,600 rpm. So we had 7% tire slippage.
In 2010 we were at 62" and went 219 on 268 hp all motor with 3% tire slippage.

Once you get over 200 or so you will just spin if the bike is too long. Keep it short.

you can run at longer wheelbases if you carry enough ballast :-)

I carry at least 100 more pounds than Ali

you can get a white hat if you break 200, doesnt have to be a record. I wouldnt suggest much over stock wb having tried one event myself with a fairly stock bike (bolt on mods) i did have a couple small wheelies and a few small spins. its not like a prepped drag surface thats for sure!

For Loring that's right Scott but at Wimington you have to set a record over 200.

The four different places I've ran at are all concrete and traction is very limited. At least at the Goliad track they would let you do a burn out to clean the tire off and heat it up a little.
